Oh my goodness. I was in heaven. The hostess was awesome. Waitress Nora was a super star. The food was excellent and will make your tongue slap your brains. Seasoned to perfection. Of course I had to bring my gumbo back to Texas because it was so much food. I told my hubby the next time we travel this will definitely will be our stop. I'm sold out to this restaurant where there's great atmosphere and the scenery is so soothing while eating.
We've been 3 times in just as many weeks. We try and find local cuisine anywhere we go. This place is hands down the best food we've had while in town. Look forward to many more trips and bringing more family and friends here as they visit. Swamp water is a great drink to kick things off as well as the zydeco shrimp!
This place was amazing!! It has a very family friendly atmosphere. The staff were great and very kind. The food was out of this world. We got the shrimp and grits, gumbeaux, and Mac and cheese. Everything was very delicious. I highly recommend making reservations though. We went on a Friday night about 5:30 and as a party of two. The wait was 45 minutes but we didn't mind since we could enjoy the lake and scenery while we waited.
This was my first visit to the new location and I was not disappointed. The staff were attentive and quick to respond. After ordering, there was a short wait and my food was hot and very well seasoned. I have no complaints and look forward to my next visit.
I will never drive through the area without stopping here for a catfish po'boy! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by friendly staff. The atmosphere is cheerful and upbeat. Indoor and outdoor seating is available overlooking the lake. Pet-friendly picnic table seating is a peaceful spot at any time of day. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Vegetarian options: Salad.
Kid-friendliness: Tables outside and inside. Kids can play in the huge yard after they finish eating.
Parking: Plenty of free parking. Gravel parking lot connected to the restaurant.
The food and service was great!!! There was a wait time but it was worth the wait!!! I had the whole catfish and they were of good size and got 2 of them. I had a Southern Bel drink and that was oh so good. It came out smoking and bubbling. It is worth it and not expensive. You get double portions of almost everything!! It's a must that I come back
Nettie was so amazing and made us feel so welcome. It was our first time there and she gave great suggestions after finding out they were out of fried oysters. We will definitely make our way back here the next time we're in town! Side note, this was some of the best gumbo I have ever had!
My man and I came here for dinner. Great service, great employees, great food. Much love for such an amazing staff and comfy restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for gator, catfish, and fry's this is the place.
This place has always been good but slow. Now they are fast, delicious and courteous. They were busy as heck but still managed to seat me and my 6 coworkers and have us fed within what felt like a little over 30 minutes!
Food is always delicious. Atmosphere is so fun. They are always busy but get you taken care of in a timely manner. You can count me as a regular forever.
The same great tasting food! I've eaten these delicious appetizers and entrees from back in the day. My daughter and I ate her on our mother/daughter day out. This will definitely be our spot whenever I come in from Georgia. You won't be disappointed!
The wait was a bit and the staff was pretty busy but this place was amazing and definitely worth the wait. Everything was absolutely delicious!! Our waitress was very sweet and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place for everyone!
I remember eating at Pete Harris as a little girl with my mom. I'm glad that they still incorporate the same flavor at Orlandeaux's. Good food and good service.
Outstanding food, staff, and service! Portions are huge....best gumbo and Poboy Ive ever had...well remember this place next time were passing through.
The Best Cajun food I have yet to experience! Wonderful staff and family atmosphere.
A must for Shreveport. I want to lower the rating cause this place has ruined me for all other creole food. Seriously I'm already planning to have an annual pillgramage to the Mecca of creole. So do yourself a favor before you go. Ask yourself if will willing to give up everything else... Then get the Chefs Favorite.
Okay, let me tell you about my first ever experience at Orlandeaux's. I roll up, nothing but 2 cars in the drive thru. I ordered 3 stuffed shrimp. Pull around and they got my food in 5 minutes. That alone gets you 5 stars right? I said I'm not going to make it home because all I had today was a smoothie. I took my first bite I DIDNT EVEN CHEW DOWN ALL THE WAY! This was giving me Pete Harris vibes and the tears started to well up in my eyes. I'm shouting like I'm in church. I had to go get 3 more. Y'all, they are amazing and will most definitely see me again!
Great food & great staff. Definitely coming back. Definitely not stingy with their portions.
First bite was good. Food was amazing. Even as leftovers. Servers were great. Def gotta try this place many times.
This place was superb and the food was outstanding. The staff was so welcoming. Thanks for making our experience so wonderful. Texas Loves you Orlandeaux!
From my understanding, the recipes used are of Shreveport history, based on the famed Freeman & Harris menu. The food is bar none for N Louisiana cuisine. The Dirty Rice is a must try! Though its not the South Louisiana rice I'm used to, its still good. This time it was take out, but usually dine in.
The food was good! I had the shrimp and grits that came with Jiffy cornbread on the side.
